Hook and Chain Tow Trucks
These are sling trucks that are used to tow cargo. They work by wrapping the chains around axles and frames of the vehicle to get them towed. Flatbed Tow Trucks
Also referred to as rollback trucks, these tow trucks have an empty truck bed that is flat at the top. The truck is fitted with hydraulics system to move the bed up and down. Although they are almost similar to hook and chain trucks, wheel-lift tow trucks cause less damage. The only difference is that they use metal yoke in place of chains. The yoke is hooked under the rear or front wheels to tow it. This ensures that the hydraulic lift suspends the rear or front side, making it easier to be lifted from the ground.
