It’s Okay to Still Be Friends

If you’ve been with your partner for a long time, then chances are that you have items that you’ve previously shared. You might be thinking of keeping those since they’re partly yours, but if it’s hurting you too much, then you may want to let go of them.
It’s likely that you won’t be using them anyway due to the painful memories, so it would benefit you more if you give it away or sell it. Plus, others would have something to use, as well. You can always remember your good times through other means.
Moving forward with your life after a breakup or divorce can be difficult, but very possible. For that to happen, you would need to have a good mindset. Keeping these points in mind will help you do just that and assist you in your recovery from your loss.
Also, now that you are separated from your former partner, you should also remember that you have your own life now. Avoid comparing your recovery with theirs, and you’ll end up the better for it. There is still a future ahead of you and the people and things that are left with you.
