The Essential Skincare Routine: Don’t Go Out Without Doing These
When you look good, you feel good. So, don’t be afraid to hit the spa when you feel like it because sometimes, we need that extra pampering to get the stress and wrinkles off our faces.
There are so many skincare routines and beauty regimens available online, but not all of them can be trusted. Everybody has different skin that reacts differently to certain products. One girl might be used to a minimal skincare routine while another might get better results using beauty products from Caudalie and other trusted brands. So, you only need to keep trying, find what fits you best, and stick to it.
If you’re still having a hard time figuring out what regimen is right for you, here are the basics when it comes to a day-to-day skincare routine:
Clean your skin. Wash your face at least twice a day: once in the morning and once at night. Use soap to wash away dirt and oil from your face and body. Apply facial wash that works best for your skin type and lightly pat down with a soft towel.
Just don’t use the same towel for everything. The towels can be too rough and irritating and it can pass on dirt to different parts of your body.
Another tip would be to never sleep with your makeup on. The makeup can build up and clog your pores and trap oil and unwanted chemicals, all of which could trigger skin irritation. This leads us to the next part of the skincare routine.
After cleansing, toning is an integral part of your skincare routine. The toner helps remove any leftover makeup on your skin, as well as oil and other chemicals that can be harmful when left unchecked. It will help tone your skin. It tightens pores, and in some products, even offer antioxidants that promote healthy skin.
The toner acts as the double cleanser and helps exfoliate the skin. a definite must-do for the routine. But throughout the day, the skin is now open to the harshness of the air and the environment. Your pores could open up or close down, depending on the weather.
Dry skin can be a drag. Luckily for you, there are hundreds of moisturizing products available on the market right now. Nobody likes getting dry skin. The face and body get red; your skin easily gets irritated and marked with scratches; the skin can even get flaky because of the lack of moisture.
You can use a special soap to keep your face and body moisturized and smelling great for cheap. If you want to take it a step further, some types or brands of cream or lotion can keep your skin hydrated throughout the day. Even if you have oily skin, a good moisturizer is an essential part of any beauty regimen to stay looking fresh and clean.
It’s a three-step process but in some cases, you may need to keep repeating it. Everybody’s skin is different and so the routine’s results may vary. But essentially, this is the simplest way to keep your skin looking young and healthy.
